Ledford Ray Miller, age 65, of Benedict, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at his home.  He was born on January 31, 1943 in Lawrence, Kansas, the son of Herbert Ray and Marguerite (Russell) Miller.

Ledford earned a Bachelor's degree and worked as a sales representative in the electronics industry.  He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.  Ledford was a member of the VFW Post 1654 and American Legion Post 170, both in Chanute, Kansas.

On February 3, 1969, Ledford was united in marriage to Karen Louise Jackson in Las Vegas, Nevada, and she survives at their home.  Other survivors include his mother, Marguerite Miller of Fall River, Kansas; three sons, Sean Miller of Altoona, Kansas and Shannon Miller and Shane Miller, both of New Ulm, Minnesota; one daughter, Terri Rolchelle of Contoocook, New Hampshire; and ten grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Countryside Funeral Home with Pastor Susan Galvan officiating.  Contributions are suggested to Fredonia Home Town Health Care and may be left with the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.
