Teresa I know that urge to censor yourself. If no one said anything the forum would be blank. I know you are more than capable of a good political discussion, but respect that you choose not to say anything. Just don't bite a hole through your tonque.

Teresa, don't beat yourself over some of the comments. Keep that post, if Barack Obama does win, GOD FORBID, someday you may want to remind people of this post and what it said. I truly believe that barack Obama is evil and that what he and his followers want is to destroy the America that our forefathers wanted it to be, and what so many American men and Women have died for. He makes no bones about wanting to do away with capitalism and turn it into socialism, he has made inuendos about doing away with the second amendment right. It is difficult to know what he really wants because his agenda changes everyday, it depends on what his advisers think might get him a vote and not on what he really wants to do to America. One day he is against drilling the OCS and ANWR then the next day he is for it just a little tiny bit. He has even gone so far as to say we should take oil from the SPR, the SPR is for national emergencies and not to lower the price to encourage Americans to stop trying to conserve, that has to be his most ridiculous throw out or throw up. In the article I posted yesterday about Oklahomans not for Obama there was aquote that I have heard other quotes that are similar to"Another erstwhile Democrat, Charles Ogdon of Muldrow, said he believes Obama will be the next president, in part because Ogdon believes an Obama presidency would fit biblical prophesies concerning Armageddon and the Second Coming."
One of the comments I saw on the forum was questioning if he is this bad how did he get elected or win the nomination in the first place, or something like that, one only needs to look at the demographics in the Senate District that Barack was elected from, then go further and look at the demographics of a changing America.
Teresa, this a forum and you, of all prople, have every right to post what you want, but also everyone else does to. Unfortunately there are some that try to make it personal and thrash the post and the poster when they don't like what is said.
Please don't stop posting in the political threads because I don't want to be the only Republican-Conservative posting against giving America away to the masses that think they should get what others have worked for and earned.
I am not making this post to create a bigger ruckus, I am making it to voice my opinion that I think some of you were unfair in your blasting Teresa, and some of the comments you made to it are like personal thrash. Again that is your right and it is my right to disagree.
Teresa, keep on keeping on.
Have a Great Day, everyone, yes everyone.

I quit the forum for awhile, but I've been reading along and I would like to say y'all been a little harsh to Teresa. I've never actually met her or any of ya for that matter but she seems like a real nice person to me. We ALL have our quirks, pet causes, and difference of opinions. We are ALL entitled to post them for discussion even if nobody agrees with em. SDM, it's pretty evident you think Obama is the neatest thing since sliced bread, Teresa and Frank and a few others think he's a fast talkin snake oil salesman. Others on here are for McCain pretty strong and some others think he's a joke. And then theres the rest of us who think they are both a bust and have NO idea who to waste our vote on as the lesser of two evils. But all this "I'm a republican and all democrats are evil or vice versa is not gonna change anything to do with this election or the fix this country is in. So BE NICE! Teresa is a nice lady and if it wasn't for her and her husband y'all wouldn't even HAVE this forum to air your opinions on!

But I thought that was what makes a good debate...two sides expressing opposing opinions without attacking anyone. Teresa has nothing to be concerned about from me, I just don't think either candidate is as good, or as evil as is sometimes being portrayed by some of these authors, and I don't mean Teresa.  She certainly can post what ever she wishes, it doesn't reflect on her as a person. I recently heard someone attacking McCain stating that he was too old to withstand the huge stresses of being president, and another who stated his war record was no big deal and that as a POW, he had an obligation to try to escape. And if he had a chance to come home, why didn't he and then share what he had learned, why was he afraid to come home?  That was from a Viet Nam vet with a lot of jungle experience and shrapnel still in his arms. I just can't take an extreme view of either of these two. Most anything either of them does is open to interpretation. I know many of you have made your choice and that's certainly fine, but I'm still struggling with the issues. I still want to know who the Vice Presidential candidates will be, because Barack will be assassinated and McCain will die of malignant melanoma. No? Who knows?

That's where I am also, Diane. I personally think Obama doesn't have the miles under his belt to inspire my confidence and McCain doesn't seem to have the "hey I'm on top of it" confidence to inspire me. I think Obama is too caught up in the "hey dude, you're the answer to our prayers" hype of his own campaign that he's startin to believe it himself and McCain is just stumblin along readin what they put in front of him. If anything Obama comes off as TOO idealistic and he's gonna get chewed up and spit out by the reality of Washington politics and McCain is just gonna go with whatever way the flow is goin at the moment. I don't think either one of em have a realistic energy plan, it ALL sounds good on paper but gettin it done is another thing and it ain't just the democrats that have been causin the problems, they've only had control since the last election two years ago and this mess has been in the makin for a hell of a lot longer than that! Every government for the last 30 or 40 years has manipulated the energy situation, and the government budget has gone from bad to worse to not so bad to the worst it's ever been in the history of the country.
As for welfare etc. I've been a taxpayin worker since about 1973 and I'm not gonna begrudge anybody a free meal. Does the system get abused? You bet it does! But the reality is there are single WORKIN mothers and fathers who need that help. There are seniors that need that help. If it bothers you about crack heads in the ghetto gettin free money and groceries get legislation that they gotta go out and pick up trash or somthin or they don't get any benefits! But don't punish the people who just need that extra little bit of help to take care of their families.

As for the healthcare debate, I also do not see a problem with havin a program for people who CAN"T afford insurance. Face it, most of us chickens do NOT have the money to pay insurance premiums for a policy that doesn't cover anything to start with. If I had 4 or 500 dollars to spend on deductible I'd just go to the friggin doctor! If you want to charge me boocoo bucks for insurance give me a rebate of my money when I don't use it for a certain amount of time. There's an idea.

As for gun control, won't work period. A criminal doesn't give a crap that the gun he's fixin to use is against the law. He didn't go to a store and fill out a background form to buy it. If he can't get a gun he's gonna use a knife, if he can't get a knife he's gonna use a ballbat. Are we gonna outlaw anything that somebody could use as a weapon? Give me a break and get real. The only thing that is gonna make em think is knowin that whoever they are fixin to rob or kill or whatever is gonna have just as good a chance of takin THEM out.

As for the economy.....it's gonna get worse before it gets better for one reason, the whole credit mess. people have been speculatin on credit! They had nothin backin them up but the ability of people to make their payments! Those people got easy credit and got in WAY over their heads because they were convinced they NEEDED that huge-ass house and three cars and the vacation condo, and didn't read the fine print! Nobody read the part about the big interest rate jump that was gonna double their payments in a few years. The guys in charge should of known better than to go for that but they did and now we are all gonna pay for it for quite awhile. Throwin out that stimulus check was like puttin a bandaid on an amputation! Guess what it didn't stop the bleedin.

My point with this longwinded post is that these are the issues people care about at the core and neither one of these guys seems to have a clue how to fix em as far as I can tell. None of the politicians who are runnin adds on my tv do, all they seem to be interested in is pointin fingers and throwin inuendos and sayin vote for me cause he's worse than me!

Next time I use ruckus and crap in a post I will send it to the trash where it belongs. Taking my own advice I will not say anything more on this topic.
