Oh my, did I say something wrong? We were at Sturgis on our June trip. I really don't like ripping motorcycle noise, it hurts my ears, but I wasn't judging the people. :P

Diane, it was not directed to your comment at all. I don't like Motorcycle noise either but that doesn't mean I don't or can't like the rider. I hunt and do lots of shooting sports which I love to do, but I know the noise is offensive to some.

Who said anything bad about Sturgis? I go to bike rallys every year! There is nothin that makes my blood sing like the sound of a butt load of harleys goin down the road unless it's the sound of a really fast car at the drag strip or really loud pipes on a truck! lol If I still had my bike, I'd be the happiest woman on this planet!

A few years ago Marvin and I were   ::) somewhere in Wyoming for the night, forget where  :-\, and were having supper when a group of bikers came in.  They sat at tables close to us and we struck up a conversation.  They were on their way home to California from Sturgis.  These people were doctors, lawyers, judges, working class, all very nice folks.  They were dressed in leathers, bandana's, biker boots, all kinds of chains and jewelry.  Know what?  These were the friendliest bunch.  Motorcycling was their "outlet" from the daily pressures of their particular line of work.  They were definately enjoying themselves.  The days of all motorcyclist's being members of "Hell's Angels" or some other gang is gone.

This was one of John's worst speeches to date. It did not present a clear or concise message of what he and his campaign are running on. It was choppy, poorly timed, and, I'm sad to say, John seemed to take a boyish pleasure in poking fun at the democrat. He is underestimating his opponent. He looked uncomfortable amongst the "common folk." Perhaps biker rallies don't play well at multi million dollar homes in Arizona?

If McCain can't step it up, he's going to loose. It's like he's not even taking this seriously.

Did anyone listen to this speech? I would fire the speech writers. What a wasted opportunity.

Yes, I listened to his speech including the part where he offered to have his wife Cindy compete in the Miss Buffalo Chip contest. The response from the crowd was enthusiastic including hoots of 'show us your boobs!'. What was he thinking?

Lol, at least they didn't boo her! And he was playin to the crowd lol, you can't be anal at a bike rally, there is a tendency to relax and get a little on the wild side so if that's gonna bother ya you probly shouldn't be there lol

I have to admit talking about his wife entering the Miss Buffalo Chip when running for President is a little questionable but I don't think he knew exactly what the contest entailed. On a humorous note she is about my age, I have been to Lake Havasu Arizona for spring break and I saw many a normally modest person naked, her dad owned a beer distributer in Arizona- Bud ads at Spring Break, she's a very attractive woman;  went to USC, McCain a fighter pilot known  to have a little fun. I'm guessing she would have done pretty well in the contest.

Some of self righteous Democrats like bikers.  And I have known some people that did belong to the Hell's Angels and they weren't bad people either.
