CAMBRIDGE - Webster, Betty L., 69, retired nurse's aide, died on Thursday, July 24, 2008. Service 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Douglass, Kansas and graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at the Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, Kansas, both on Wednesday, July 30, 2008.Zimmerman Funeral Home of Howard.

Betty Lou (Cook) Webster, 69, of Cambridge, Kansas, passed away July 24, 2008 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice at Via Christi Regional Medical lCenter-St. Francis Campus in Wichita, Kansas. 

Betty was born on July 22, 1939, at Wichita, Kansas to Charles and Dorthea (Shaffer) Cook.  She moved with her family to Howard, Kansas at an early age and graduated from Howard High School in 1958.  On September 23, 1959, she married William L. Webster at Sedan, Kansas. 

Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was employed for 25 years as a nurses's aide at the Winfield State Hospital & Training Center.  She had been retired for the past few years.  Betty was a member of the  First Baptist Church of Douglass, Kansas. 

She is survived by her husband, Bill, of the home; her sons, Jerry Lewis, Billie Webster, David Webster, John Webster, and Richard Webster; twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at the First Baptist Church of Douglass, Kansas.  Pastor Henry Cox will officiate  Recordings will be played of "Amazing Grace", "Go Rest High on that Mountain", "Precious Memories", and "Peace in the Valley".  The pall bearers will be her sons.  Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, Kansas.  Visitation will be held at Zimmerman Funeral Home of Howard, Kansas from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2008.

Memorials hve been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice of Wichita and the First Baptist Church of Douglass, Kansas.  Contributions may be left with Zimmerman Funeral Home.
