Couple to celebrate 60th Anniversary

Vernon and Clara Jones of rural Howard will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Wednesday August 26 with a card shower.

Vernon is a semi-retired carpenter and farmer, Clara is a homemaker, after retiring as a secretary from Unified School District #282.

No, seriously, Vernon is a great guy and has done a LOT of carpenter work, and Clara was one of my favorite ladies when I had my hair salon.
