I have also heard this pronounced Maud-e (long e).  Regardless of how it is pronounced, welcome.  Please go to the Coffee Shop and click on ROLL CALL TO ALL MEMBERS.  There you can tell us a bit about yourself (and how you pronounce your name.  )  I realize there are things under the Roll Call that are just posts, but scroll up a bit and you'll see what I'm talking about.
