Nina (Lower) (Leewright)  Burkhart of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, formerly of Howard, Kansas and Wichita, Kansas, died on July 8, 2008.  She was born in Wichita, Kansas and graduated from Howard High School in 1960. She graduated from St. Mary's College and worked as a nurse at United Hospital, St. Paul Ramsey Hospital, and United Healthcare.  She loved to cook and garden.

She was the beloved mother of Kristina L. (James) Dahlby, Kathy R. Leewright (Rick McKenzie), and Roger G. Leewright; grandmother of Andrew Leewright, Anastacia Klingman, Mariah K. Leewright, Andre D. Leewright, and McKenzie L. Leewright; great-grandmother of Tymothy and Taylor.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Velma Lower.  

Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at KOK Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street South, Cottage Grove, Minnesota.  Condolences may be left on the funeral home website at www.kokfuneral.com
