Lloyd L. Richardson, 80, of Stafford, Kansas, died June 2, 2008 at his residence.  He was born May 26, 1928 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Fred O. and Edith (Sanner) Richardson.  He was raised and educated in Arkansas City.  He married Charlotte L. Stockton on January 12, 1946 in the home of the  Rev. C.L. Barnes.  Richardson worked at many city jobs in Arkansas City, including mechanic at the Arkansas City Fire Department and the Arkansas City Police Department.  He was a member of Crescent Lodge 133 Ancient Free & Accepted Masons.  He and his family went to many churches to provide gospel music. 

Richardson was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Lee Richardson.  Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Richardson of the home; a son, Charles Richardson of Stafford, Kansas; daughters Lynda Buck of Harker Heights, Texas and Barbara Rierson of Grenola, Kansas; three brothers, five sisters, nine grandchidlren, and 21 great-grandchildren. 

Services were at the Minnis Funeral Home, 125 N. Main Street, Stafford, Kansas.  Burial was in Stafford Cemetery.  Les Parks officiated.  A memorial has been established to help defray funeral expenses.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
