I think there is one man that could possibly salvage the presidency from the two Democrats running as democrats and the other democract running as a Republican, that man is Colin Powell. This man is wise in world affairs, Military and Domestic affairs. He is a man that will do what is best for this country and not what is best to keep himself in office. This man has dedicated his life to serving this country. If he would run as a write-in candidate he could possibly  be the first Presidential write-in candidate to win.

IF he would run .... :-\

We sure need something, don't we.

He's a good man, I agree, but why should he run? Could he take the slash and burn scrutiny? Wouldn't he be called a "liar" too?

I don't think his integrity would be questioned near as much as the 3 people running now. I have never heard anyone say anything in a derogatory manner  about Colin Powell. I think someday this country will be held hostage by some of the oil producing nations and I would rather have a man of Colin Powell's ability handling that crisis. We have lost alot of friends in the Middle East and we are on the verge of loosing more. When I started with Phillips one of our biggest allies and oil suppliers was Iran, now they are one of  our biggest threats.

I think that Colin Powells' wife has said 'no way!'. That was eight years ago when G.W. was elected. He would have been a good candidate. I also think that John Mc Cain would have been a good candidate back then; however his age is showing now.

Almost without fail I have voted Republican for the 47 or so years that I have been voting, and I have never failed to vote in any election at any level since I was of voting age. I beleve that voting is the greatest responsibility, honor and benefit afforded to the citizens fortunate enough to live in a Democracy, I will no doubt vote for John McCain because even thou he tends to lean left and somewhat liberal he still represents some of what I am for, the right to keep and bear arms being one of the most important, but John McCains lack of control of his temper scares me more than any other thing about him. I am concerned that his lack of self-control will be his biggest problem. His age is also of concern.

His age doesn't bother me, ask his mother!   ;D ;D ;D   His temper does worry me too, but maybe his "handlers" will work on that.
