Beverly Faye Wolfe, 77, longtime resident of Grenola, Kansas, passed away May 25, 2008 at the William Newton Hospital in Winfield, Kansas.  She was born on January 25, 1931 on the family farm south of Grenola, Kansas to Willard Merle and Margaret (Neubecker) Jordan.  She attended school in the Grenola area and graduated from Grenola High Schol in 1948.

On July 15, 1960, she married Carl Gene Wolfe at Grenola, and they made their home in the Grenola community.  Beverly was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother.  She loved caring for animals, working in her garden, crocheting tea towels, and embroidery.  Beverly also assisted at the Moline GradeSchool for several years helping children learn to read.  She was a member of the Grenola Senior Center, the Royal Neighbors of America, and the Grenola United Methodist Women.  Beverly was an active member of the Grenola United Methodist Church and the Grenola community.

Survivors include her sons, Elmer, Eugene, and John, all of Grenola, Kansas; her brother, R.G. Jordan of Grenola, Kansas; three grandchildren, Jason Wolfe, Jennifer Wunderlich, and Jamie Cannon; three great-grandchildren, Andrew Carl Wolfe, Aaron Russell Wolfe, and Adah Rae Wolfe; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on May 28, 2008 at the Grenola United Methodist Church.  The Revs. Chantilly Lovelace and Larry Boyer officiated.  Wanda Mills was the organist with vocal selections of "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" and "The Old Rugged Cross".  Casket bearers were C.E. Neubecker, Donnie Neubecker, Eddie Neubecker, Dale Steward, John Sweet, and Bill Wolfe.  Burial was at Greenlawn Cemetery. 

Memorials have been established with the Animal Care Fund of Elk County and the Grenola United Methodist Church. Contributions may be left with  Zimmerman Funeral Home of Howard, Kansas.
