Levi Michael Thomas Measles VanDerhagen, 18, of Grenola, Kansas and formerly of Chanute, Kansas, went home on Saturday, April 12, 2008 due to injuries sustained in a car accident.  He was born September 27, 1989 in Mesa, Arizona, the son of Coreen Michele Kenyon and Timothy Isaac Measles Sr.

Levi worked as a concrete finisher for Caney River Concrete.  Levi was known as being an easy-going guy.  In his spare time, he loved to fish, go four-wheeling, listening to music, and cars.  Most of all, he loved being with his family, friends, and his fiance, Adrian Wheat, of Grenola, Kansas.

Other survivors include:  His mother, Coreen Kenyon of Grenola, Kansas; his father, Tim Measles Sr. of Hutchinson, Kansas; two brothers, Caleb Measles Sr. of LaHarpe, Kansas and Wrangler Sweet of Grenola, Kansas; a stepbrothe, Patrick Riddle of Grenola, Kansas; his maternal grandmother, Melanie Jiannino; his paternal grandmothers, Shirley Measles and Dianna VanDerhagen; his great-grandparents, Mary Margaret Dotson, Elizabeth Featherston, and Thomas Jiannino; his nephew, Caleb Measles Jr.; and his stepfather, Jeff Riddle.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Michael VanDerhagen, Sam Measles, and Francis Aust.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Grenola, Kansas at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Robin Haines officiating.  The family suggests memorial contributions to help defray expenses and can be mailed to Countryside Funeral Home, P.O.
