Charles E. Decker, 79, of Howard, died Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, Kansas.  He was born September 1, 1928 in Grayling, Michigan, the son of Francis Peter and Hazel (Leline) Decker.

In 1948, Charles married Darlene Love.  She passed away in 2000.  He worked as a carpeter until his retirement.  He was a past member of th Moose Lodge in Michigan.  During his retirement, Chares loved to mow and do woodburning, but most of all he loved being with family and friends. 

Charles is survived by three sons, Gene Decker of Ada, Oklahoma, David Decker of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Donald Mosher of Evansville, Indiana; five daughters, Judy Ruark of Grayling, Michigan, Gloria McCarthy of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Margart Mosher of Marion, Michigan, Ginger Williams of Plymouth, Michigan, and Hazel Nowlin of Ada, Oklahoma; one sster, Anna Stoddard of Fredric, Michigan; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Decker was preceded in death by two children, Edward and Carl Decker; two brothers, Arthur and Francis P. Decker Jr.; and two sisters, Laura Tinkerand Beatrice Baldwin. 

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.  The family suggests memorial contributions to the Harry Hynes Hospice and can be mailed to Countrysde Funeral Home, P.O.
