How should a Christian vote?

Election-time scriptures - food for thought:

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice;
but when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29:2.

Jesus said, "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment." John 7:24.
We have an obligation to examine and judge the candidates. 1 Corinthians 2:14-16.

Remember that Satan transforms himself into an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15. Any candidate who supports any form of wickedness is capable of other wickedness, such as lying.
Some seek personal gain, at any cost, even their soul.

The law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine. 1 Timothy 1:9,10.
Do any candidates support any of the above?

He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just; both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord. Proverbs 17:15. We justify the wicked when we vote for someone who supports sin.

On abortion, euthanasia, the basic right to life:

Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, "Surely we did not know this," does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?
Proverbs 24:11,12. See also Proverbs 31:8,9.

Jesus said, in Matthew 25:31-46, (my paraphrase) "What you have done to help the least of these, you have done to Me. What you have not done to help the least of these, you have not done to Me."

Are any of the candidates supportive of, or are they themselves: sinners, abortionists, sorcerers, slanderers, deceitful, idolaters, lovers of money, adulterers, homosexuals, sexually immoral, haters of God, unbelieving, unloving, untrustworthy, etc., men of corrupt minds?
See Deuteronomy 30:19,20, Proverbs 6:16-19, Romans 1:18-32, 1
Corinthians 6:9,10, 2 Timothy 3:1-9, Revelation 21:8.

Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil. Isaiah 5:20. This verse applies to lawmakers and judges supporting abortion, same-sex marriage and civil unions, and removing prayer, The Ten Commandments, Bibles, and any mention of God from schools, courtrooms and public buildings.

What would Jesus do? Does Jesus want us to vote for someone who supports sin
or refuses to acknowledge God?

Choose this day:

Then the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him, that there was no justice. He saw that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor. Isaiah 59:15,16.
-- Or --
The Lord looked and was displeased that there was no justice...He was appalled that there was no one to intervene. Isaiah 59:15,16.

"And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve...as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15.

Above all else, pray for God's wisdom and direction!
Pray that righteous people will win their bid for public office!

election day, or any vote you make in your life, choose God's way to vote!
Today, I want to make a difference.
Here I am Lord, use me!
