I found this recipe a few years ago and it has become a favorite of ours.  I've passed it on to several people and they, too, have told me it has become a favorite.  Yes, it does sound strange, but try it, you'll like it!  (I hope)

Put 1/2 cup warm water in the bottom of your crockpot
the put in a beef roast (any kind, any size as long as it will go in your crockpot)

Mix together:  1 envelope brown gravy mix, 1 envelope Italian dressing mix, and one envelope ranch dressing mix
pat it on the top of the roast, cover and let it cook.

I fixed a small bonless chuck roast yesterday, and it is gone today!

Hope you enjoy!

We're going to try this recipe for lunch this coming Sunday.  I'll let you know our results!  How long did you leave it in the crock pot, on low, or high?

Bonnie, I put it in my large crockpot, and cooked it on high most of the cooking time, as I was late getting it started.  I probably cooked it about 4 hrs.  This is one of Frank's favorite ways to fix roast.  The gravy on it was rather thick.  Hope you enjoy it!

We moved the roast project up a day!  We found out we're not having "company" for lunch tomorrow, so we decided we'd fix the roast today.  Our roast was pretty good sized, so we (Bob) kept it on low in the crock pot for a little over 8 hours.  Keep in mind that the meat we get here isn't anything like as good as the meat you get "back there."  However, the roast is very good.  It's tender, and the flavor is good.  So, if you want something that's maybe a little unusual, try it, I'm sure you will like it!

Thanks, Myrna.  the "suspense is over!"
