     Rose J. Crupper, age 88, of Howard, Kansas passed away Thursday, February 21, 2008 at the Sedan City Hospital.  Rose was born on November 19, 1919 in Tyro, Kansas the daughter of John and Henryetta (Wiegmann) Schipper.  Rose attended grade school at Pleasant Hill in rural Caney, Kansas and graduated from Tyro High School class of 1938.  She also attended one year at Coffeyville Junior College.
     On November 23, 1941 Rose was united in marriage to Arthur "Red" Crupper at the Caney Christian Church and he preceded her in death on December 1, 2004.
     Rose was a homemaker.  For over 30 years she was a faithful an active member of the First Baptist Church in Howard.  She was also a member of the ABW (American Baptist Women) and 4-H.
     She is survived by her sons; Larry Crupper of Howard, Kansas, Steve Crupper of Edgerton, Kansas, and Don Crupper of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister Kathryn Crupper of Boothwynn, Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son, Bo Crupper, on September 6, 1979.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, February 25, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Howard. Visitation will be Monday from 10 AM until service at the church. Private interment at Grace Lawn Cemetery. Family suggests contributions to the First Baptist Church in Howard and may be sent to Countryside Funeral Home P.O. Box 247, Fredonia, KS 66736. Arrangements are under the direction of Zimmerman Funeral Home, Howard, Kansas 620-374-2381.
