Had a new hint brought to my attention and I tried it and it works! Beieive me, so I wanted to share it with you. My carpet is a light beige in some rooms and someones husband has a habit of leaving coffee stains :) and I read that if you used inexpensive shaving cream , and brushed it in to the soiled area, with a stiff brush, and leave it to dry, then you can vacuum it up and it is all gone. Try it! It worked for me, even removed some rust spots with two tries...don't use your husbands best shaving cream though, it might smell good but it won't work any better, and He may not be too happy !

That sounds like a good tip, and I'll try it soon myself.  Unfortunately, at my house I have to accept the blame for most of the spills.  ::)  My mom used to call me "Grace" and still says that I trip over the lines in linoelum (true! :-[).  It's okay though, I'm almost perfect in almost every other way. ;D

Shaving cream, eh? Who'd a thunk it? I wonder if the ladies' version works as well as the men's. I'll have to give it whirl.

As for being perfect, Joanna...well, of course (cough) you are (snort!) I guess that makes two of us? I don't trip over linoleum cracks but I do get lost in airport parking lots.
