We have a rustic star on top of our tree.  I fondly remember all the different types of Christmas trees my mom would do... the most memorable was the TUMBLEWEED tree!  My mom found 2 huge tumbleweeds, spraypainted them white, and somehow tied them together to make a tall tree.  It was crazy!  We weren't able to put too many ornaments on it, if I remember!

Grandson at KU said the other day that he can hardly wait to get home just to look at all the decorations and ornaments that have always been on the tree and in the house.  Our tree is a  not a theme tree either-everything we have or want to put on it we do.  Always one or more of my Dad's  red and white fishing bobbers is placed in a special place.   When that is added to the tree the memories flow.  That is probably the most special to me.
