Dr. McDonald was still in business in Severy in 1934.  He was the Dr. that my parents took Helen to, when she wouldn't behave and
stuck her little hand down in the front of the lawnmower that my brother was pulling backward, so he could push and mow again at Grandpa Fiscus's home.  It cut the end off her middle finger.  Dr. McDonald was Esther McDivitt's father.

Wow.  I learned something.  I didn't know that Esther McDivitt was the daughter and granddaughter of doctors.  I learn something everyday from this forum.  I should say, everyday that I get to read the forum.

Didn't you ever hear the house where Esther's mother lived called the doctor's office?  Of course the doctor was gone before we moved to Severy, but it was still being referred to as the doctor's offce.

No, I never did hear it called the doctor's office.  It probably was and I just never paid any attention.
