Roma, Found these in the same 1958 Moline Yearbook.

The picture of George brings back great memories. George was always happy  go lucky.

:DSo great to see a picture of George.  I remember, as I've said, of being a little girl and looking up to George Ames and thinking he was just such a handsome man.  He was always so well dressed and so friendly to us everytime we came to town. A visit to the Mercantile was a must!!!!

I always liked George Ames.  He was always so friendly and had a wonderful personality!  My Dad and George were on very frirndly terms , even though they were cccccompetators in  the men's clothing business.   When I went to Coffeyvile College, I worked at Read's Department Store.   Later I found  out that George Ames was responsible for getting my job.  Later I found out that they were related.{Reads and AMES]
