what are "white caps"   ???


okay I looked it up my self....quoting

White caps, the members of a secret organization in various
      of the United States, who attempt to drive away or reform
      obnoxious persons by lynch-law methods. They appear masked
      in white.

I would liken "White Caps" to the Klan. Probably some of the members belonged to both groups.

Doesn't seem like a very forgiving and understanding congregation or wife.

hee hee hee..  ;D I doubt that the wife was to thrilled.. but back then.. ( as now for a lot of the time) the more they went to church ..the more they thought they were perfect enough to judge. Generally those are the ones with the most to try to hide and cover up.  ;)
