At first I thought this was funny...then,   I realized the awful truth of it.
Please,  Be sure to read all the way to the end!

        Tax his land, Tax his bed,
        Tax the table, At which he's fed.

        Tax his tractor, Tax his mule,
        Teach him taxes  Are the rule.

        Tax his cow, Tax his goat,
        Tax his pants, Tax his coat.

        Tax his ties, Tax his shirt,
        Tax his work, Tax his dirt

        Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink,
        Tax him if he Tries to think.

        Tax his cigars, Tax his beers,
        If he cries, then Tax his tears.

        Tax his car, Tax his gas,
        Find other ways to tax his ass.

        Tax all he has Then let him know
        That you won't be done Till he has no dough.

        When he screams and hollers, then tax him some more,
        Tax him till  he's good and sore.

        Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave,
        Tax the sod in which he's laid.

        Put these words  upon his tomb,
        "Taxes drove me to my doom..."

        When he's gone, Do not relax,
        Its time to apply the inheritance tax.

        STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?

        Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and
        Our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
        We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest
        Middle income group in the world, and Mom stayed
        Home to raise the kids.

        What the hell happened?
        Can you spell "politicians?"

        And, on top of that, we still have to "press 1" for
        English!!!

Then add all the different insurance a small business has to have to stay in business. Ouch!

Interesting.... As I sit here preparing to pay my county and city taxes, which are due Sept.30... Delaware has no sales tax. My City of Newark taxes are $377.30. That includes trash pick up twice a week, police, meter maids, snow plows in the winter, street sweeper once a week, leaf pick up about once a week all fall, (they are composted and we can go help ourselves,) street lights, fire hydrants, parks and rec. programs, 30 min. of great fireworks on July 4th, The Memorial Day and Halloween Parades, Newark Nite, Safety Town, Community Day, the library, bulk pick up when ever we call for it, animal control,  grass pickup every Sat. for those don't leave it on the ground. Christmas tree pick up, (they are chipped and used as mulch around the plant decorated traffic islands.) They pay $3,000.00 a month to the fire company. The costs associated with city hall, ( salaries, etc.) a free Unicity bus, capital improvement programs, Newark TV, channel 22, a city website, a reverse phone call program to remind people of holiday changes in trash pick up or whatever, adopt a street program, a spring clean up day, a senior minor house repair program, a household hazardous waste pickup day, a tri annual 51 page news letter mailed to everyone here and a brand new (2006) 318 million gallon reservoir. We voted to raise our taxes a little to pay for it. It covers 30 acres and has walking trails all the way around it.
     We pay county taxes too. Our school tax this year is $1,294.92.and county taxes are $159.91. Seniors who need it get discounts on everything. Sure we pay a good bit, but we get good value for the dollar, I think.
