Donald E. Adkins, age 76, of Fall River, died Sunday, July 22, 2007.

Donald was born on June 11, 1931 in Laurel, Del., the son of Charlie H. and Ollo B (Carey) Adkins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Kay Pettigrew, one brother Elmer Adkins and one sister Isabelle Funkhouser.

Survivors include five sons, Danny Adkins, Maryland; Mike Wallace, Park City, Kan.; Mitch Adkins, Fall River; Kevin Adkins, Fall River,' James Adkins, Paradise Valley, Ariz.; one daughter, Libby Adkins, Fredonia; one sister, Irma Mack, Portsmouth, Va.; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, July 27, 2007 at Countryside Fuenral Home 420 S. 20th St. in Fredonia.  Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Thursday with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m.  Burial will be 1 p.m., Saturday July 28 at Bristow City Cemetery, Bristow, Okla.

Memorials to  Flilnt Hills Assembly of God Church of Howard may be given in lieu of flowers and may be sent to Countryside Funeral Home P.O. Box 247, Fredonia, KS 66737.  Arrangements are under the direction of Zimmerman Funeral Home, Howard.
