My husband graduated from Emporia High School with Dale.  Great guy!  Terrific basketball player in high school.  Early lawyer years he was attorney for Becker Oil.  Frank Becker was also in the Class of 54 (Emporia).  John Petersen, who worked at Howard Bank for a number of years, was also a classmate.

John Petersen has moved to Enid, OK to work in a bank.  The phone number that I had for him has been disconnected.  Does your husband have his phone number?  Is there a chance you might see him at Pohl's memorial service?  If so, could you get his cell phone number and e-mail it to me or give John my e-mail address - janet_harrington@sbcglobal.net

When I was getting my Master's degree, I would stay with John and Bert on weekends, so I could travel to Topeka and not have to stay in a motel.  I loved Bert with all my heart.  Love John, too, but Bert was easier to love.  ha ha If you know John, you will know just what I mean.

Janet,

My husband's nephew has emailed you and John so he should receive your email address.

Nephew and his late wife, Carolyn, were great friends with Bert and John.  Carolyn also graduated in the Class of 54.

Yes, I got the e-mail from Larry.  I hope I get one from John soon.  John called me when he decided to take that job in Enid and wanted to give me Bert's dog.  There was just no way I could do that even though I loved Tipper with all my heart.  It made me sad.  However; the last I knew, Steven was going to live in John's house and take care of Tipper until the house sold.  Then I assumed that Tipper would go with Steven.
