Car Accident Fatal

    A car accident which occurred on Hwy. 99 one and one-fourth miles southwest of Severy Saturday afternoon was fatal to one person and hospitalized a second.
    Donnie Ray Boone, 17, of Howard died four hours after entering the hospital at Eureka, never regaining consciousness
    Robert Bruce Winn of Howard, the second occupant in the car, was also taken to the hospital, where he remains a patient.
    The car, a 1952 Ford driven by Boone, left the highway and overturned several times.  The car was damaged beyond further use.

Marica , thanks for the post.  I went to my families history book and found out that Donnie Ray Boone is my great uncle Walter Burton (Bert) Boone's and great Aunt Cora May (Kelly) Boone's grandson. Donnie's parents are Walter Franklin Boone of Howard and Dreva June (Rice) ,Boone

Donnie Ray Boone is buried at Grace Lawn Cemetery, Howard, KS.
