COON, Orville O. - b. February 2, 1878 - d. August 27, 1960

     Orville O. Coon, the eldest son of Sands A. and Ida L. Coon, was born five miles south of Severy on February 2, 1878 and passed away in the Greenwood County Hospital on August 27, 1960 at the age of 82 years.  He lived in this community (the Fiat Community) until his health failed and he moved to Severy in June 1960.
     Orville married Elfie M. Belcher on September 19, 1915.  To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Merle (Dorine) Benest of Severy.
     Survivors include his wife, his daughter, six grandchildren and other relatives and friends.  Funeral services were held from the Forsberg Funeral Home in Severy with burial at Cresco Cememetery on Monday, August 29th.
