   Charles Olin Dunbar died Wednesday, May 30, 1984, at St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita.  He was 67 years of age, Olin, as he was known by his friends, was born on December 16, 1916, near Longton, Kansas, to Frank and Fannie Shanks Dunbar.  He attended rural schools near Longton as a young man.
   On September 18, 1940, he united in marriage with Lois Geneva Burres at Sedan, Kansas, and to this union was born one daughter, Sandra Lee.  In December of 1941, they moved to California where Olin was employed five years by Douglas Aircraft Company at Long Beach.  The following 28 years, he was employed by Rockwell International in California and retired from the company in 1975, Olin and Lois returned to Elk County and purchased the Variety Store in Howard until his death.
   He is survived by his wife, Lois, a daughter, Sandra Lee Dunbar of Howard; three sisters, Mrs. Geraldine Turner of Howard, Mrs. Shirley Graham of Chanute, and Mrs. Opal Brown of Garnett.
   Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 1984, at Grace Lawn Cemetery in  Howard with Bernard Smith of the Howard Church of Christ officiating.  Mrs. Louise Morgan sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer" and Beautiful Garden of Prayer."  The funeral arrangements were made with the Zimmerman Funeral Home of Howard.
