The Mittie Davis house was located on North Pennsylvania.  It was the third house north of Washington on the west side.  I can't even remember the name of the guy who owned it.

I cannot answer the question about why Mittie Davis was special.  Sorry.

Iam looking for a picture of THE TOGGERY.  It is funny when you grow up you think it  will always be there.
