Transfer To Elk County

Wendall DeLong, Kansas Highway Trooper in this county, announced today he had received notice of transfer and by July 1 will be located at Howard.

DeLong said his territory would be Elk county and the section of Greenwood county that includes a section of Highway 96 north of Howard.  Elk county in the past has been part of the territory covered by the trooper stationed in Sedan.

DeLong said he had been in Howard already and was looking for housing for his family.----Independence Reporter.
