Welcome, Sarah, to the best place to be in the world.  We would like to hear a bit about you and why you joined us.  Whatever the reason, welcome.

Sarah

Thank you for the welcome!  :)
Well, my name is Sarah and i live with my husband Louis and our 4 children.  We live about 12 miles west northwest of Howard and we're in the process of building up a fiber farm.

I stumbled across this board quite by accident and I thought, Wow, how cool!!  I don't get much time to interact with others from the area and I thought this would be a neat way to get to meet more people from Elk county and hopefully make more friends.

:)

Hey, Sarah, you are out in my used to be territory.  Just where are you? if you don't mind telling us.  My folks moved to a farm 7 miles NW of Howard in 1947.  My brother now owns it, tho he doesn't live there.  And my husband and I owned a pasture a mile north of that until a few years ago.  Bet I wouldn't have any trouble finding you.

Hello.  :)
I am out on road 9 diagonal from where Bill and Kate Rader use to live and now Tana and Steve Harrod live there.  We've lived here 3 years now.  Although we were out here every weekend for several years before that building our house.

Wilma

I know exactly where you are. but I thought it was just 7 miles from Howard.  I will have to count the miles again.  We owned the pasture just north of you that the Wedmans own now and my brother owns south of you across the road on the west side.  My parents bought that in 1947 and I finished my senior year at Piedmont.  I know Bill and Kate very well.  Bill and my husband were buddies from way back.  Welcome to the neighborhood.

Sarah

It may only be 7.  I'm going by how far Mr. Rader told me it was.  I've never actually counted it.

Are you one that has the property with the camper and such back in the trees?  It's a beautiful piece of property!  Lots of trees and the pond.  I love it.  I go jogging by there all the time down Pioneer.  :)

We adored Mr and Mrs Rader!  We couldn't have asked for better neighbors.  We were sad to see them go.  The Harrods are very nice too though.  We love it out here!!!

Welcome Sarah!!
Yes Bill and Katie (as I have always called her)  are wonderful people.  Katie and I go back a LONG way...we were classmates all of our high school years.  We graduated from Longton High in 1947.
I married my wonderful husband the very next morning  and we will be celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary on the 16th of May.
I know you will love the clean fresh air in Elk County.  Enjoy visiting with us on the forum.
IT'S NOT WHAT YOU GATHER, BUT WHAT YOU SCATTER....
THAT TELLS WHAT KIND OF LIFE YOU HAVE LIVED!
