LEGION AND AUXILIARY HALLOWEEN PARTY

Although there was a small attendance, those who did attend the Halloween party at the Legion hall Monday night, October 17th, had a grand time.

The hall had been decorated with orange and black paper and fall colored sumac branches.   The lights were dim as the masked creatures gathered for the party.  It was hard to get anyone to say a word, but there were a lot of antics going on.  After everyone had arrived, a group of unmasked people were chosen to guess who the masqueraders were.  Millard Shipman and Mildred Doggett were the last two guessed, so they received the prizes.

When everyone had unmasked, the committee took over with some games for all to enjoy.  Have you ever run a race to see who could get to the marshmallow in the middle of a string first?  If you have not, just ask A. K. Rader and Willard Morss how easy it is.

The bobbing for apples attracted as many oldsters as it did youngsters.  Those who tried this not only got the apple, but got their faces washed at the same time.

At the end of the game session, the committee served the pie and coffee which was enjoyed by all.  Those who were unable to attend missed a good time.----Reporter.
