Mrs. Maggie Dolan Stowe was born in Ireland May 14th, 1848.  She died at Howard, Kansas on the morning of June 30th, 1916, at about 10:30 o'clock being sixty-eight years, one month and seventeen days of age.

Her family left Ireland when she was but ten years of age in the year 1858, and settled in the state of Ohio.  They removed to the state of Kansas in March 1872.

Maggie Dolan was married to John Wesley Stowe, March 5th, 1879, to this union three children were born.  Luther William Stowe, Joel Joseph Stowe and Albert Stowe.

Mrs. Stowe was one of the earliest members of the Presbyterian church in Howard, Kansas, uniting by profession of her faith in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Spetember 27th, 1885.

Mrs. Stowe leaves to mourn her loss, one son Albert Stowe, and one brother Joseph Dolan, beside many other kinsfolk and friends.

Services were held at the home Saturday, July 1st, at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. A. J. Kearns.  Interment was in the Grace Lawn cemetery at Howard, Kansas.
