Thelma (Lee) Smith, 100, died March 12, 2007 in Tucson, Arizona.

Her private memorial service was held on March 16, at Evergreen Mortuary and Cemetery in Tucson.

She was born on Jan. 22, 1907 near Piedmont, Kan.  She married Stuart Smith of the Piedmont area.  They lived on a farm in Elk County until retiring to Arizona.  Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband.

She is survived by a son, Stuart Lee Smith of Tucson.  Thelma had two brothers, 2 sisters and many nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials to the Stuart Lee Smith fund in care of:  Evergreen Mortuary and Cemetery, 3015 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705

Thelma Lee Smith was a sister of Dale Lee who lived northwest of Howard for many, many years.
