Larry J. Corle, age 85, of Coffeyville, Kansas, passed away January 7, 2025.  He was born to Richard Alfred and Mabel (Geren) Corle on September 30, 1939 in Caney, Kansas.

Larry attended school in Caney and Longton, Kansas and graduated from Elk Falls High School in Elk Falls, Kansas in 1957.  At age 18, Larry enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving four years.  He traveled to Okinawa and Japan and returned to Twentynine Palms, California.

In 1962, Larry married Betty Lee Tuck at the Baptist Church in Moline, Kansas.  In Moline, he worked for Martin Marietta and also DeWayne Triboulet.  In 1964, Larry and Betty welcomed a son, Larry Steven, and in 1969, a daughter, Brenda Lee was born.  The young family moved to Coffeyville, Kansas where they made their home in 1969. Larry graduated from Coffeyville Technology and Coffeyville Community College. He was employed with Funk Manufacturing, now John Deere, and devoted 30 years of service there before retiring. 

Larry leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Betty; his son, Steve (Kathy) Corle; his daughter, Brenda (Leland) Grooms; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Coffeyville, Kansa.  Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Dick Smith officiating.  Interment will be held at Elk Falls Cemetery in Elk Falls, Kansas at 1:30 P.M. The family suggests memorials be made payable to the Salvation Army Service Volunteers of Coffeyville, and they may be left with or sent in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N.
