He was born June 7, 1948 in El Dorado, Kansas to Walter and Betty (Garner) Adsmond.  He grew up in Piedmont, Kansas alongside his three siblings, attending Piedmont Schools and transferring to Howard High School when the Piedmont schools closed.

During his grade school years, Tom met a young girl who would become his high school sweetheart and later his wife.  On December 10, 1966, Tom married Betty Murphy in Howard, Kansas.  Together, they raised their two sons, Thomas, Jr. and Ron, and spent nearly 56 years together until her death in 2022.

Later in life, Tom started watching baseball and football which he thoroughly enjoyed watching with his son, Ron.  He liked to take his family on trips to visit family in Howard and take them to Fall River.  He also enjoyed gong on vacations to Washington and Minnesota.

Tom is survived by his sons, Tom (Alysia) Adsmond of Andover, Kansas and Ron Adsmond of Leon, Kansas; grandchildren, Natasaha Adsmond (Jakob Holley) of Leon, Kansas and Rylee Adsmond; great-grandchild, Jameson Holley; and sister, Connie Caddell Click of Crowley, Texas.  He was preceded by his parents; his wife, Betty; and his brothers, William and Gary.
