Donald Allen "Don" Jones, age 74, passed away August 19, 2024.  He was born November 24, 1949 in Great Bend, Kansas to Clifford and Nadine (Book) Jones.

Don and Rita Juaire married and later divorced.  He was united in marriage to Frankie Sue Melott on July 29, 1995, and they were married for over 29 years until Don's passing.

Don worked many jobs throughout his life.  Some include owning his own construction company and being a Steris Corporation Specialist, mantaining hospital equipment throughout Kansas hospitals.  He loved horses and music.  However, what Don cherished the most was his wife and their grandchildren.

Don is survived by his wife, Frankie of the home; his children, Larry (Beth) Jones of Severy, Kansas, Terry (Amy) Bell of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Christi (Mike) Wiens of Wichita, Kansas, and Tammy (Steve) Young of Ponca City, Oklahoma.  He is preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, PFC Stephen "Andy" Young.

Funeral services were held on August 23, 2024 at Haverhill Christian Church in Augusta, Kansas.  Dunsford Funeral Home, 201 E. 5th, Augusta, Kansas was entrusted with arrangements.
