Donald Loyd "Don" Dixon, age 89, passed away July 2, 2023 at Clearwater Nursing and Rehabilitation in Clearwater, Kansas.  He was born on August 28, 1933 in Glenwood, Arkansas to Ernest and Lily (Cox) Dixon.

On March 29, 1969, Don married Cleta Jackson.  They enjoyed 48 years together until her passing in 2017.

Don worked as a machinist, retiring from Coleman Manufacturing in 1992 after many years of service.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Don is survived by his sons, Donald Dixon, David (Teresa) Dixon, Dean Dixon, Dennis (Darcy) Dixon, all of Wichita, Kansas, and Kevin (Bonnie) Bunch of Haysville, Kansas; brother, Clint Dixon of Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cleta; his stepson, Lee Bunch; his brothers, Tommy, James, Johnny, and Larry; and his sisters, Tina and Evelyn.

Don will be laid to rest next to his wife, Cleta, in South Lawn Cemetery in Severy, Kansas.  A graveside service will be announced soon.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Severy Baptist Church and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.
