I am starting this thread.. I want everyone to add some things to it..

If I knew back then what I know now....................................

I wouldn't have worried so much on doing all the little things that really didn't matter, that I thought were important ( like staying up after everyone was in bed so I could have a spotless house etc...)..
and used  that extra time reading one of my  books or taking some quiet time for myself.

Ok...  who's next?

If I knew back then what I know now-------

I would have taken better care of this old body and maybe I would be more active now.  Janet would be helping me instead of me helping her with my flower beds.  I would be hanging curtains, changing light bulbs, hanging pictures, etc., instead of waiting for someone who can still climb a step stool.  I would be able to vacuum the whole house at a time instead of part of one room.  I would be able to put the clean dishes up on the shelf instead of stacking them on the counter where I can reach them easily.

Hey, this could could go on for a long time so I will stop here.  I am thankful that I can still live in my own house and take of myself for the time being and get outside to enjoy the flowers.

If I knew back then what I know now, I would have spoke up more for myself. I had a poor self esteem and didn't think people really liked me. I had to be what everyone wanted me to be. As I have gotten older and decided I like me and really don't care (too much) what people think of me, I realize I like this and could have been doing it all along. My mom used to say that she did the same thing. Is this one of the signs of getting older????

Wilma

It might be as I have decided that this is my time.  I will do only what I want, when I want and everybody else can just work around me.

If I knew back then what I know now...I would have really studied in college and not flunked out the first time.  I would not have gotten married the first time.  I have all kinds of things I could add, but then again, if I had not gone through all of my life like I did, would I still be the same person I am now?

I wondered the same thing!!!! :-\

Somewhere in the Good Book, it says that we go through these things so that we can minister to others. I have seen that. There is a big difference between people that say they understand and you know they haven't got a clue and ones that say they understand and you know they do because they have lived it. It is a big help. So yeah, maybe there was a reason we went through those things so we can be the people we are now to be used by the Big Guy.

I would have listened to my mother more. (Even though I hate to admit that!) I would have paid better attention in school and studied harder. I don't know, I'm still pretty young right now, so I don't have much to add. Ask me again in 20 years!

Janet Harrington

Yeah, but, CrumCowgirlMama, we may not be here in 20 years.

Wilma

I hope I'm not here in 20 yrs.  I would be an old lady. Ugh!
