Tammy J. Johnston, age 63, of Fall River, Kansas passed away on April 20, 2023 at her home.  She was born July 29, 1959 in Paola, Kansas, the daughter of Warren Dale Capehart and Margaret Janiece (Hahn) McGuire.

After high school, Tammy worked as a Veterinary Technician and also as a graphic artist.  She married Milton Johnston of Archie, Missouri, and they raised a son together.  Tammy will always be remembered by family and friends for her love of music, art, nature, storm watching, and all things animal related, but especially horses and cats.  Nothing made Tammy prouder than her son and grandchildren.  Those that knew her knew what a loving and beautiful person she was inside and out.

Tammy is survived by her son, Timothy (Ashley) Johnston of Archie, Missouri; her mother, Margaret McGuire of Fall River, Kansas; her siblings, Tim (Pam) Spies of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Lisa (Pat) Bowen of Lee's Summit, Missouri; her grandson, Justin (Alexis) Johnston of Archie, Missouri; and her grandddaughter, Lexi Johnston of Archie, Missouri.  Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Warren Capehart, and her dad, Ralph McGuire.

Cremation has been requested.  A service of remembrance will be held by the family at a later date.  Memorials in Tammy's memory have beenn suggested to Fredonia Pound Pals and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 420 S. 20th Street, Fredonia, Kansas 66736.
