Terry T. Perkins, age 73, of Moline, Kansas, passed away January 27, 2023 at the Sedan City Hospital in Sedan, Kansas.  He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Robert and Ruth (Baughman) Perkins.

Terry grew up with four brothers and four sisters on the family farm west of Howard, Kansas.  He loved the outdoors, walking with siblings, playing with dogs and cats, and helping on the farm.  He attended Parsons State Training Center in Parsons, Kansas for numerous years.  Terry was so enthusiastic about his time there.  He then returned to the farm, later moving with his parents into Howard.  Terry loved riding his bicycle around the city blocks and going to the park.

Upon his parents' deaths, Terry moved to Moline, Kasnas where he was part of Tri Valley Developmental Services.  He shared a home with two others, but during the day, he was with many other adults participating in various activities.  He was a helper, always wanting to be involved.  Terry loved his time with Tri Valley.  He considered this his "home".

Terry had lots of passions.  He absolutely loved putting puzzles together, creating small drawings using his small pocket-size spiral notebooks, coloring in coloring books, but best of all, he loved people.  He enjoyed being social and loved shaking hands with strangers.

Terry is survived by four  brothers, Carl (Susan) Perkins of Bellingham, Washington, Randy (Angie) Perkins of Winfield, Kansas, Steve Perkins of Douglass, Kansas, and Max (Linda) Perkings of Arkansas City, Kansas; three sisters, Tracy (Jim) McDonald of Arkansas City, Kansas, Sharon Wagner of Howard, Kansas, and Carol (Ned Meyer) Perkins of Overland Park, Kansas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Terry was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Carla Perkins, and his brother-in-law, Joe Wagner.

Cremation has been requested.  A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 20213 at 1:00 p.m. in the pavilion at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, Kansas.  Memorial contributions can be made to Tri Valley Developmental Services and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.
