Ronald Lee Ewing, age 71, of Moline, Kansas, passed away November 8, 2022 at Sedan City Hospital in Sedan, Kansas.  He was born November 6, 1951 in Holton, Kansas to Clyde and Marie (Gustufason) Ewing.

Ron grew up alongside two sisters and a stepbrother.  He graduated from Caruthers High Sschool in Fresno, California.  After high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country.  He then drove a semi truck as a professional mover, moving families all over the country.  He married Cindy, and they later divorced.  He then married Cheri.  Although they later divorced, they have stayed good friends.

Ron has five children, and as a family they enjoyed fishing, camping, doing barbeques, and going out on Ron's boats on just about every lake around.  They lived in Wichita, Kansas and then moved to the Severy and Howard, Kansas area before moving to Minnesota for awhile.  They found their way to Moline, Kansas seven years ago.  He was enjoying his latest job delivering meals to residents for the Meals on Wheels in Moline.  His other love was for his two dogs.  He enjoyed his daily walks with them.

Ron is survived by his children, Christine (Eddie) Boswell of Kansas City, Angie Weilandt of Winona, Minnesota, Shawnee (Shelly) Ewing of Moline, Kansas, Samantha (Peter) Wieczorek of Moline, Kansas, and Melissa Ewing (Doyle Dean) of Owasso, Oklahoma; his sister, Patti Dean; his grandchildren, Alex, Lindsay, Miranda, Lucais, Chista, Ravin, Kory, Abigail, Damian, and Emaya; his great-grandchild, Korbyn; and his two dog buddies, Harley and Zeva.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepbrother, and his sister, Sharon.

Cremation has been requested with a memorial service to be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.
