Peggy Marie Jackson, age 85, of Howard, Kansas, passed away on November 27, 2022 at NMC Health in Newton, Kansas.  She was born October 31, 1937 in Corssett, Arkansas to John and Lucille (Moore) Tucker.  Her mother passed away when she was just a few days old, and her father passed away when she was only six years old, so she was raised in Arkansas byt her grandparents, Franklin and Pearl Tucker.

On August 15, 1955, Peggy married Ben Jackson in Greenville, Mississippi.  Together they raised three sons and were maried 48 years until Ben's passing in 2004.  They made their home in Boydell, Arkansas for many years, and in 1976, they moved to Wichita, Kansas.  Peggy held down several jobs throughout her life and ended her working career at Twilight Manor in Howard, Kansas.

Peggy loved raising her three boys and wouldn't miss a ball game they were playing in.  She continued that tradition, going to all the school ball games when her grandson, Colby, played baseball.  She also enjoyed riding horses, playing the piano, watching football on T.V. , and seemed to always have an old western movie on.

Peggy is survived by her three sons, Benny (Robin) Jackson of Howard, Kansas, Jesse Jackson of Howard, Kansas, and Norman (Paula) Jackson of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Arthur Millis, Martin Millis, Tracy Hall, Lynn Marie Jackson, Annie Holderman, Colby Jackson, and Kylee Longhofer; great-grandchildren, Riley, Zayne, Marleigh, and Maggie; and her sister, Sylvia Richardson.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ben.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Countryside Funeral Home , Howard, Kansas.  Family will receive friends at visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Archer Strange Benefit and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E.
