Gaylene Mae Hebb, age 74, of Howard, Kansas, passed away on November 2, 2022 at the Eureka Nursing Center in Eureka, Kansas.  She was born November 15, 1947 in the family home in Moline, Kansas to Travis and Lola (Miller) Foust.

Gaylene grew up in Moline alongside her brother, Gary, and graduated from Moline High School.  As a young lady, Gaylene was introduced to a young man that had come in to her dad's garage, and that's all it took.  He was a farm kid, which she liked, and when he asked her out, she jumped at the chance.  On March 3, 1973, she married that young man, Lee Hebb.  Together they raised three children and spent close to 50 wonderful years together.

Living on a farm, most of Gaylene and Lee's time was spent taking care of the animals and raising their kids.  When they could get away, they enjoyed going to music concerts, an occasional dance, and fairs.  They made sure one yearly event they didn't miss was the Interstate Fair and Rodeo.  Gaylene cherished her family, especially her kids and grandkids.  She will be sincerely missed by them all. 

Gaylene is survived by her husband, Lee; her children, Daniel (Stefni) Hebb of Howard, Kansas, Lucretia (Rob Harrington) Hebb of Moline, Kansas, and Kimberly (Aaron) Bowes of Howard, Kansas; her brother, Gary Foust of Burden, Kansas; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Samuel Bowes.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Moline Cemetery in Moline, Kansas.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Chautauqua County Animal Shelter or Oma's Country Critters Sanctuary and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.
