Sandra Alaine Clawson, age 70, of Peru, Kansas passed away on September 17, 2022 at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri.    She was born on December 8, 1951, the daughter of James and Carol (Thompson) McClenning.

Sandi loved being a wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother.  Family was very important to her.  She enjoyed many things in life like singing karaoke, crafting, gardening, and poetry.  She had a very kind and loving heart and never met a stranger.  She loved animals and taking them to the fairs for petting zoos.  Many people knew her as the "Goat Lady".  She was always trying to bring a smile to your face and would help anyone where she could.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Robert Clawson of Peru, Kansas; her sons, Braden Clawson and Wayne Johnson; and her sisters, Mary Vestal of Longton, Kansas  and Norma Love of Niotaze, Kansas.

A memorial service was held on October 1, 2022 at the First Christian Church in Sedan, Kansas with Pastor Penny Goldberg officiating..  Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Havana Cemetery in Havana, Kansas.  The family has suggested memorials to the Dickens Family Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.  Dickens Family Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas Street, Sedan, Kansas 67361 has been entrusted with arrangements.
