Mary Margaret Boring, age 91, formerly of Moline, Kansas, passed away September 7, 2022 at Mosaic Life Care Center in St. Joseph, Missouri.  She was born Septmeber 24, 1930 in Moline, Kansas to Henry and Margaret (McClintock) Beechner.

Mary grew up alongside two siblings, Henry, Jr. and Elizabeth.  She attended school in Moline before moving to Perry, Oklahoma where she finshed her education.

On December 24, 1946, Mary married James Strode in Perry, Oklahoma.  Together they had a daughter, Susan.  Mary lived many places including Kansas City, Moline, and Wichita, Kansas and worked several places including the Postal Service as a mail carrier.  On December 8, 1956, she married Arce Mayford Boring.  They enjoyed 33 years together until his passing in October 1989.  In 1991, Mary then moved to St. Joseph, Missouri to be near her daughter.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Mary is survived by her two granddaughters, Jennifer and Stephanie, and nephews and nieces, Johnnie (Susan Brown) Murphy of Arizona and Rick Beechner of Florida.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbahd, Arce Boring; her daughter, Susan (Strode) King; her brother, Henry "Bud" Beechner; and her sister, Elizabeth Sinsel. 

Graveside services for Mary were held on September 13, 2022 at the Moline City
Cemetery in Moline, Kansas.  Memorial contribuitsion are suggested to the St. Jude's Hospital and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.  Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. washington, Howard, Kansas 67349 was entrusted with arrangements.
