Our precious mother, Kelly Jan (Bishop) Adair, gained peace and went to walk with the angels on February 1, 2022.  She was born November 8, 1958 in Wichita, Kansas and was the oldest of four children, maintaining a responsible and conscientious nature throughout her life.  She spent much of her youth in Howard, Kansas and was a graduate of West Elk High School.

Elk Falls, Kansas provided many of Kelly's fondest memories.  One would say it was her happy place.  She married Dennis Adair on December 20, 1980, and they worked in the aircraft industry together.  She left the work force when she became a mother and then devoted her life to their four daughters, raising them in Cleburne, Texas.

Kelly was the epitome of a homemaker inside and outside of the home.  She always had the ability to produce something truly remarkable with little resources.  Her propensity for hope made loved ones always feel she was their number one fan, and she truly was.  Kelly's legacy leaves reminders of gentle strength and resilience that turned a house into a home and little girls into headstrong women.

Kelly is survived by her daughters, Sarah (Caleb) Gilmore of Andover, Kansas, Jessica (Brent) Blevins of Azie, Texas, Danielle (Taylor) Berry of Joshua, Texas, and Hannah Adair of Cleburne, Texas; her mother, Karen Thurman Wallace and her husband, Don of Rio Hondo, Texas; her brothers, Douglas (Theresa) Bishop of Howard, Kansas and Todd (Becky) Bishop of El Dorado, Kansas; and her grandchildren, Harper and Hudson Gilmore, Spencer and Bennett Blevins, Tucker and Quinn Berry, and Teagan Adair.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Adair; her sister, Shannon Bishop; her grandson, Parker Blevins; and her granddaughter, Holland Berry.  What a glorious reunion to imagine!

A Celebration of Life will be held in Elk Falls, Kansas in late spring with arrangements to be announced later.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Kelly's memory be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
