Betty J. Rumbley, age 81, a resident of Trenton, Missouri, passed away on July 16, 2022 at her residence.  She was born September 8, 1940 at Cambridge, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence Levi and Margaret Maude Terrell.

Betty was married to James Emery Rumbley on July 2, 1961 at Trenton, Missouri.  They lived in Wichita, Kansas and moved back to Trenton, Missouri in retirement in 1999. 

Betty's survivors  include one daughter, Cheryl Lynn (John) Poettker of Wichita, Kansas; one son, James Eugene (Kim) Rumbley of Cibolo, Texas; two grandchildren, Ashley Poettker and Dustin (Molley) Poettker, all of Wichita, Kansas; one great-grandddaughter, Lillie Poettker of Wichita, Kansas; and three sisters, Darline Terrell of Leawood, Kansas, Judy Terrell of Winfield, Kansas, and Nadine (Marlin) Baumgartel of Howard, Kansas.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Jefferson Dewayne Rumbley; and one brother, Robert Terrell.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Slater-Neal Funeral HOme in Trenton, Missouri.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at the First Baptist Church, 2421 Oklahoma Avenue, Trenton, Missouri with burial in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Trenton.  A memorial has been established to help with expenses and may be left with the funeral home.    Slater-Neal Funeral Home, 813 Custer Street, Trenton, Missouri 64683 has been entrusted with arrangements(
