Howard Courant- Citizen
August 27, 1942

Lt. Marion C. Haile and Miss Reba Rogers were united in marriage at Leavenworth last Thursday, August 20, by Rev. Harry R. Weed, pastor of the First Methodist church of that city. They were attended by Philip Perrin of Kansas City, Kansas, and Miss Gene Perrin of Topeka.

Lt. Haile is the older son of Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey of Lawrence and lived in Howard most of his life where he was graduated from high school.  He later attended Kansas University at Lawrence in the School of Pharmacy.  For some time he has been in Uncle Sam's army and has been in special training on the west coast.  Just recently he was graduated from a bombardier school and received his commission.

The bride, whose home is at Ottawa, has visited in Howard several times with her friends, Miss Gene Perrin, and others and is a graduate of Kansas University, receiving her degree with the Class of 1942.  Their many Howard friends extend congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.

Lt. and Mrs. Haile left Kansas Saturday for an eastern station where they will make their home until Marion is assigned to active bombardier work on some of the active fronts.
