Justin Kyle Bryan, age 43, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away June 13, 2022 at his home.  He was born November 25, 1978 in Junction City, Kansas to Steven and Lyneva (Sherman) Bryan.

Justin grew up in Herington, Kansas alongside two siblings and graduated from Salina South High School in Salina, Kansas.  Growing up, Justin was active in his church, 4-H, and Scouts.  He was active in 4-H for many years taking cooking and photography.  He really enjoyed photography and had a good eye for it from an early age.  He even once had a photograph of a sunset taken over Lake Herington that toured the Ag offices of Kanasas through a year as one of the top awarded 4-H pictures of the year.  The other 4-H members loved his antics so much that they re-elected him song leader for several years in a row.

Justin moved out to live on his own at age 20 and was very independent.  He rode a bus to work daily for 20 years with the help of his personal assistants.  For several years, he worked for Phillips Lighting in Salina, Kansas in the packing and shipping department.  He had numerous interests that included Mickey Mouse and Disney.  He had a collection of autographs from many of the characters he met at Disney World in Florida.

Justin loved participating in Special Olympics playing volleyball, basketball, track, and tennis.  He enjoyed country music, especially if he could sing along which the family often did while traveling.  Justin loved to give and receive presents and all birthdays and holidays.  He never forgot anyone's special day, whether it be someone's anniversary or birthday.  He would even call his mother to remind her of her friends' birthdays to make sure she didn't forget.

In 2016, Justin's dad, Steven Bryan, passed away.  They were always "buds", and Justin missed him dearly.  Justin was a conqueror.  He always saw the bright side of every situation and loved life to the fullest.  He took pride in doing his best at whatever he was doing and being a winner.  He never met a stranger and loved everyone.  He loved to share and had a kind, giving heart.  He was especially fond of being an uncle to Kylee and Tyler.

Justin is survived by his mother, Lyneva Bryan; his brother, Jeremy (Carolina) Bryan; his sister, Jennifer (Ryan) Guffey; and his niece and nephew, Kylee and Tyler Ryan.  He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Bryan.

Funeral services in honor of Justin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, Kansas.  Interment will follow in Elk Falls Cemetery in Elk Falls, Kansas.  As Justin was very patriotic, happy-go-lucky, and a lover of parties, the family would like his service to be a Celebration of his departure from this world.  Please dress casual or patriotic for his service.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contriubitons be made to the Special Olympics Blue Thunder Team or to Countryside Funeral Home for a bench to be set at Elk Falls Cemetery in his honor.  These can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.  Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 206 E. Washington, Howard, Kansas 67349.
