Carolyn Sue Chrisman, age 82, formerly of Winfield, Kansas, passed away May 20, 2022 at UT Health of Athens in Athens, Texas.  She was born December 11, 1939 in Grenola, Kansas, the daughter of Truman and Dorothy (Sweet) Harrington. 

Carolyn was raised and received her education in Grenola, Kansas, graduating from Grenola High School in 1957.  She was united in marriage to Tim L. Chrisman on October 14, 1961 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moline, Kansas.  The couple lived in Winfield, Kansas for a few years and later in Sedan, Kansas for a short time before returning to Winfield.  Carolyn worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell for many year and also worked at the Walnut Valley Lanes. 

Carolyn enjoyed bowling and even received the "Bowler of the Year" award once.  Aditionally, her hobbies included crocheting blankets, watching movies, and putting together puzzles.  Most of all, Carolyn loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

Carolyn's family includes her sons, Joe (Lisa) Chrisman and John Chrisman, all of Winfield, Kansas; her daughter, Marilyn (Steve) Crotser of Mabank, Texas; her eight grandchildren, Kelly (Martin) Jacques, Levi Chrisman, Rebecca Chrisman and fiance Brandon Beyard, Drew (Ally) Chrisman, Emily Chrisman, Seth Crotser, Caleb Crotser, and Sarah (Aaron) Roots; her eight great-grandchildren, Emilia, Abe, Lucy, Cash, Jagger, Charleigh, Benji, and Miriam; her two bonus great-grandchildren, Bryon and Kevin; her sister, Beth Moore; her aunt, Shirley Gillespie; her sisters-in-law, Janet Harrington and Janice Chrisman; and her brother-in-law, Mack (Joy) Chrisman.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Tim on May 24, 2003; her parents; her sisters, Peggy Harrington and Mary Miller; and her brother, Jim Harrington.

Graveside funeral service was held on May 27, 2022 at Highland Cemetery in Winfield, Kansas.  A memorial was established to the Mabank Special Panthers Special Olympics Team.  Miles Funeral Service of Winfield, Kansas was entrusted with arrangements.
