Carol Jean Long, age 82, passed away May 12, 2022.  She was born on October 3, 1940 in Hilltop, Kansas to  Francis and Eda (Guenther) Light.

Carol grew up in Howard, Kansas and attended local schools.  She graduated from Howard High School in 1959.

Carol is survived by her sons, Rick (Holly) Castetter and Lucky (Colleen) Castetter; grandchildren, Dustin (RaeAnn) Henderson and David Henderson; great-grandchildren, Renee, Zack, C.J, and Phebee; great-great-grandson, Melvin; and her sister, Harriet Hyler of Howard, Kansas.  She is preceded in death bvy her parents, Francis and Eda Light; her hsuband, Melvin Long; her daughter, Linda Carinder; and her siblings, Lillian Hyler, Irene Britton, Joe Light, Charles Light, and Norma Lord. 

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, Kansas.  Baker Funeral Home of Wichita, Kansas was entrusted with arrangements.
